Antithesis

I understand the necessity
of habitually changing one's routines
therefore I routinely change
my necessities
and habitually modify
my understanding of routines
and severely note what stays
the same and disregard
what has changed

In this way the simple
has lost complexity
and complex has lost some
of its simplicity
I stand at the gate immobily
frozen and afraid of unchanging

It is pleasing to know
that I have come so far
